Two notes complicating the issue:
1. 12 year olds (the inexperienced)
2. The bemusing occurrence of a male being castigated when “defending women” with the accusation he believes women need his help and/or are incapable of defending themselves.
While I don’t intend any critical tone, there is a paradox men are posed with in terms of action. Thanks to the non-uniformity of Feminism, some strains ask and welcome men to assist, some blast them to say out, and there are many shades of gray in between. Speaking from experience, it is also common to be cited as sexist for acting on behalf of women or sticking up for men’s ends when pointing out contradiction or where men are impinged upon. I’m still arguing with certain people over their denial of misandrist concepts akin to many 1950’s men’s misogyny. Receipt of sarcastic comments boiling down to “Oh, wahh. Help! Help! I’m being repressed!” have been common. Some of these people have also shown to be reversely racist as well.
But I see your point and believe you’re on the right track. Keep it up.
